Easy Peach Cobbler Cheesecake Donuts
Nothing says comfort like combining two legendary desserts into one irresistible treat. These Peach Cobbler Cheesecake Donuts feature a fluffy, golden fried base, a tangy cream cheese frosting, warm spiced peaches, and a buttery streusel top.
Ingredients
For the Streusel Crumble
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup light brown sugar, packed
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
For the Spiced Peach Topping
2 cups fresh or frozen peach slices (diced small or sliced thinly)
2 tbsp unsalted butter
3 tbsp brown sugar
½ tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp cold water
For the Cheesecake Frosting
8 oz cream cheese, softened
¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 ½ cups powdered sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1–2 tbsp heavy cream (or milk)
For the Donuts
1 tube (16 oz) refrigerated flaky layers biscuit dough (or homemade yeast donut dough)
Vegetable oil (for frying)
Caramel sauce (for drizzling, optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Make the Streusel Crumble
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Pour in the melted butter and stir with a fork until small, buttery clumps form.
Spread the crumble evenly onto the baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown. Set aside to cool completely.
Step 2: Prepare the Spiced Peaches
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the peaches, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
Cook for 4 to 5 minutes until the peaches begin to soften and release their juices.
Stir in the cornstarch slurry and simmer for another 1 to 2 minutes until the mixture thickens into a glossy, warm glaze. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
Step 3: Whip the Cheesecake Frosting
In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy.
Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beating until completely combined.
Add heavy cream a splash at a time until you reach a thick yet spreadable piping consistency.
Step 4: Fry the Donuts
Heat about 2 inches of oil in a heavy-bottomed pot or deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
Separate the biscuits and use a small round cutter to punch out the center of each piece.
Fry the dough in batches for 1 to 2 minutes per side until puffed and deep golden brown.
Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate or wire rack to drain and cool completely before topping.
Step 5: Assemble and Serve
Pipe or generously spread a thick layer of cheesecake frosting over the top of each cooled donut.
Spoon the warm, glazed peach slices over the frosting.
Generously sprinkle the baked streusel crumble over the top.
Finish with an optional drizzle of warm caramel sauce and serve immediately!
